interviewed Arina and
here are her responses to the questions we asked
What made you choose the IFPA?
After being a Master Personal Trainer in Australia for 12 years, I decided to become qualified as a Master Personal
Trainer in the USA. As I always take time to find what’s the best for my future, I had done a lot of research about
the top Fitness Master Courses. When I came across the IFPA website, it was like a magnet... I knew straight away
that’s the Fitness Association I would like to be qualified with as it is one of the Best Fitness Association in the
USA. I was also aware that other top successful trainers/athletes were also qualified with IFPA. The continuous
support of IFPA is just amazing. Definitely best decision I made choosing the IFPA for upgrading my Qualification
as a Master Personal Trainer.
What made you choose a career in personal fitness training?
I was an athlete at a very young age. My career as an athlete started at 3 years old. I grew up in Romania, a
Communist country at the time. Representatives of the Romanian Government were sent around kindergartens to choose
the best young child with best genetics (as also parents needed to be seen) for different sports to be trained and
to be prepared for the future. So I was chosen for gymnastics and spring board diving. At 6 years old I was already
a Champion as a spring board diver and representing Romania Internationally. At 12 years old I was rewarded with my
Professional Card, the youngest athlete ever in Romania at that time to turn Pro at such a young age. I was called by
the media “The Future of Romania”. My life as an athlete and the regime of tough and strict training programs between
4 to 6 hours a day made me to be the best I can ever be. Besides the intense training, I was also taught how to be
mentally strong and how to stay focused, how to chase the dream of being the best ... failure was not an option.
I was also taught by the best coaches from Romania and China, to understand a variety of training aspects such
stretching, weight training, sports psychology, injury presentation, dry and wet land training, skill progression,
and the best techniques in strength training, power and balance.
Moving to Australia in my 20’s, as the passion and love for being fit and healthy stayed with me, I wanted to
help others to change their life becoming healthier, fitter and to be more positive about life, so I decided to
become a Personal Trainer. 16 years later, besides my high achievements in the Fitness Industry as a Master Personal
Trainer and as a Top level Competitor (Miss Fitness Australia and Miss Figure Overall Australasia and now a
Professional Figure), I have the biggest satisfaction from helping and transforming so many female and male bodies
along the way and changing and motivating them to have a better view about clean and healthy lifestyle.
How long have you been a Personal Trainer?
I am a trainer for more than 16 years.
What is your best advice to someone just starting in the industry?
My advice for someone just starting in the Industry is, first of all very important is to be equipped with the
Best education and frequently updated, as to stand apart as a Trainer in a competitive world of Personal trainers
today, you need to be not just the coach, but also the educator regarding healthy lifestyle habits to the client
and also to be an ambassador for the active lifestyle.
What is your best success story?
My best success story as an athlete is becoming a Professional athlete two times in my life in two different
countries (Romania and Australia) in two different sports (Spring Board Diving and Fitness/Figure) and being the
only Competitor in Australia who keeps both the titles Miss Fitness Australia and Miss Figure Overall Australasia.
So basically, I lived most of my life as a Professional athlete.
