Advanced Functional Trainer Certification

The IFPA Advanced Functional Trainer Certification is designed to teach the essential knowledge and skills required to train clients in a functionally specific manner. This revolutionary program provides the training theory combined with hundreds of movement demonstrations that will give the personal trainer the the requisite knowledge and practical ability to teach clients better ways to train for functional performance.

Successful students are expected to be capable of understanding the role that the core plays in all movements and thorough knowledge of how to assess, plan, and implement a functionally specific training program for both lifestyle improvement, as well as sport and athletic performance. The IFPA Advanced Functional Trainer certification program will also teach appropriate progressions for both short and long term improvement. Each trainer will have the knowledge to successfully design functionally specific programs with appropriate exercises and progressions.
