What made you choose the IFPA?

I chose the IFPA, because it is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the United States and around the world for its education system that is practical and easy to apply in the world of fitness.

If you have taken more than the PFT course, what has been your favorite certification course?

My favorite is the Personal Trainer Certification, but I have other certifications such as the Sports Nutrition and Weight Management Instructor.

How long have you been Personal Training?

I have been working as a personal trainer for 19 years.

What is your best success story?

My biggest success story was when I trained and transformed two Puerto Rican television celebrities and took them to their ideal weight and taught them new healthy habits through exercise and nutrition.

How do you envision growing your personal training business?

I see the growth of my business as a personal trainer very positive. It is important to have a business growth plan. In my case I have two personal training studios and a spectacular future ahead. I have my own fitness magazine called Boricua “CUERPODEFINIDO” Fitness Magazine and I just launched my first book of exercises and nutrition entitled” Transform your body, soul and spirit “on sale now at

For all these achievements is that I say “The sky is the limit and there is still much to do.”

What is your best advice to someone just starting their career as a personal trainer?

My best advice for you is, if you’re going to start in this business, you have to take the commitment seriously. Be responsible, punctual, and respectful; give the best of yourself every day. Keep up with the changes that come every day, provide the best customer service and be a role model as it relates to health and fitness.

What are some of the adjectives your client use to describe you?

Some of the adjectives used to describe me by my clients are: I know what I do, I have the knowledge, I strive to give the best of me as a coach and above all, why I am so successful, is I love my job and everything I do. I am an Industrial Engineer, but my passion for 19 years has been personal training.

What made you choose a career in personal fitness training?

What made me choose a career as a personal trainer was my ability to share my knowledge with others and help as many overweight people improve their health and quality of life.

What aspect of personal fitness training do you like most?

The aspect I enjoy the most is the opportunity to learn, help, socialize and share with others through physical activities that benefits both the customer and my own personal satisfaction
