Christina's Classic Chili

Chili Recipe

Our COO Christina is responsible for this #FoodFriday. Chili is one of her specialties and her husband Tanner's favorites! We hope you enjoy this dish as much as we do!

Ingredients:
4 slices of bacon, roughly diced
1 red onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1bs ground beef
1 can enchilada sauce (hot)
1 regular tomato sauce
1 small tomato paste
2 cans of pinto or kidney beans
3 TBSP chili powder
1 TSP cumin
1 jalapeno, seeded and diced
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Cook bacon in the pot, remove, but leave grease
Saute onion and garlic, cook for 3-4 minutes
Add Beef
Once the beef is cooked, add sauces and paste
Using a tomato sauce can add 2 cans of water
Add beans and jalapeno
Add spices and cooked bacon
Salt and Pepper to taste
Cook over medium heat for 45 minutes to an hour, excess liquid should be gone and a thick chili is made.
